I'm a CS student at UC Berkeley and a developer at Sphinx, based in San Francisco.
Lately I've been into Boolean function analysis, computational photography, and taking apart things I don't understand yet. Most recently that was a chip.
Found out about this one really late, so this is a one-day run from a bare GDS to
(* TWO STARS *): KLayout for the netlist, cluster the die by proximity, read the ROM, SAT the
rest. Turns out the chip is a Star Battle checker with the puzzle baked in and the flag encrypted with a
CRC-8 of the board.
A toolkit for teaching, learning, and doing research in Boolean function analysis: Fourier analysis, property testing, query complexity, hypercontractivity, pseudorandomness. 25 notebooks aligned to O'Donnell's Analysis of Boolean Functions, cross-validated against SageMath and published values. Built alongside Avishay Tal's CS 294-92 at Berkeley.
Burt & Adelson's Laplacian pyramid blending, extended from images to voxel volumes. Build Laplacian stacks of two MagicaVoxel models, blend them level by level with a smoothed 3D mask, and get a seamless oraple you can orbit around in an interactive viewer.
